Patrick M. Knapp

Pat Knapp is a partner and member of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Pat served as executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary for a NASDAQ-traded energy company, where he managed all legal, risk, compliance, regulatory, HR, and insurance matters and led numerous M&A and public securities financing transactions.

In addition to his in-house leadership experience, Pat brings a broad perspective on complex M&A transactions, corporate securities and board governance matters, and a range of commercial and financial transactions. His experience spans upstream, midstream, and downstream energy companies, infrastructure providers, and industrial development.

Before his in-house role, Pat was a partner at a US-based national and international law firm, where he led and negotiated numerous M&A and financing transactions for family office, private equity, and public company clients. Earlier in his career, he held senior counsel and associate roles in both public company and private practice settings, focusing on due diligence and commercial agreements supporting M&A and project finance transactions.
