Rebecca E. Fauver

Rebecca Fauver is an associate and a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Rebecca has experience with domestic and foreign patent application prosecution involving medical devices, medical diagnostic and monitoring devices, food sciences, and various other electrical and mechanical devices. Rebecca has performed patentability, invalidity, and infringement analysis over various technologies. She also has experience in USPTO post grant proceedings such as post grant review and inter partes review.

Rebecca was previously a legal extern at the firm. Through this role, she assisted in drafting Freedom to Operate letters, USPTO office action responses, and provisional patent applications. In addition, she performed legal research in support of a variety of clients. 

During law school and before joining the firm, Rebecca clerked with a law firm where she assisted with drafting patent applications for clients in the national research lab space. She also volunteered with the Chicago-Kent Patent Hub, where she sat in on inventor intake interviews and performed research culminating in a patentability recommendation. Rebecca also clerked with an IP boutique firm where she gained experience in various matters of litigation, such as discovery, drafting complaints, and performing infringement analyses. She also was previously a judicial extern in the Cook County Law Division where she performed legal research and assisted with drafting memorandums, opinions, and orders. 

Prior to law school, Rebecca worked at GE Healthcare in the anesthesia and respiratory care business.
