Stephanie V. Trice

Stephanie Trice is a special projects lawyer and a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Her practice focuses on trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and strategic brand management and protection. She advises clients ranging from emerging companies to globally recognized brands on the development, protection, enforcement, and commercialization of their intellectual property assets. Stephanie has extensive experience counseling clients on trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, and dispute resolution, and has managed trademark and copyright portfolios across multiple jurisdictions worldwide. She works with clients in a variety of industries, including retail, fashion, jewelry, consumer products, food and beverage, medical devices, technology, and financial services.

In addition to her counseling and portfolio management practice, Stephanie has experience litigating trademark and copyright cases in federal court, as well as handling opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also advises clients on domain name disputes, online brand enforcement, and copyright protection strategies. 

Stephanie also serves as an adjunct professor, teaching intellectual property law, ethics, inclusivity and business-related subjects at the law school and graduate levels, reflecting her commitment to thought leadership and legal education.

Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie served as an associate attorney and managing associate for a legal services group focused on intellectual property matters. Her experience includes representing clients before the US Patent and Trademark Office, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, US Copyright Office, and federal district courts. She has advised clients on trademark and patent clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, licensing, and litigation matters, and has represented parties in TTAB proceedings, UDRP disputes, and federal trademark and copyright actions.
