Travis Vest is an associate and a member of the Construction and Infrastructure practice group. His practice is focused on construction, energy, and infrastructure matters, representing developers, owners, and contractors in disputes and contract negotiation. His litigation and arbitration experience include disputes arising from utility-scale solar developments across the country, where he has represented EPC contractors in disputes involving projects exceeding 190 megawatts, as well as claims involving delay, defective work, differing site conditions, and payment. Recently, he served as a member of the trial team that obtained an eight-figure federal jury verdict for a client.
Travis regularly assists clients with construction documents, including EPC agreements, AIA contracts, and bespoke project agreements for energy, infrastructure, commercial, and mixed-use developments. He also advises private equity sponsors on construction- and litigation-related risk in connection with transactions, including diligence on project agreements and pending claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Travis was a government contracts and construction litigation associate at an international law firm. Through this role, Travis represented government contractors, providing advice and counsel related to procurement, bid protests, contract management, compliance, internal investigations, and related litigation. In addition, Travis represented and advised construction clients and other businesses in contract negotiations and complex commercial litigation, including deposing key fact and expert witnesses, drafting and arguing motions, formulating strategy, and more.
