Hannah J. Munro

Hannah Munro is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is not currently admitted in Massachusetts.

Hannah Munro is an associate and a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice. Prior to joining the firm, Hannah served as an associate in the corporate section of a US law firm, where she supported clients on corporate governance matters, executive compensation arrangements, securities law compliance, and mergers and acquisitions across the business lifecycle. She has experience advising entrepreneurs, startups, and emerging growth companies on corporate formation, venture capital financings, and strategic growth transactions, as well as counseling companies and investors on capital raising activities and compliance with federal and state securities regulations.

During law school, Hannah gained regulatory experience through internships with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. She supported both examinations and enforcement teams by reviewing investment adviser compliance, analyzing advertising and disclosure materials, and assisting with investigations involving potential securities law violations. Her work included drafting legal memoranda on disclosure requirements, registration obligations, and antifraud provisions, as well as supporting regulatory counsel on enforcement matters and division initiatives.
