This webinar features a panel of experienced professionals from around the globe covering the policy context around the growth of foreign direct investment (FDI) regimes. Speakers will provide a summary overview of the proliferation of new global (in particular European) FDI regimes, relevant sectors affected, review timelines, and interesting stats from enforcement in 2022 M&A deals. The panel will then take a deeper dive into example regimes, highlighting interesting features and points to watch in an M&A context, having regard to some interesting case studies and practical learnings in recent deals from Canada and Europe. The panel will also provide the in-house counsel's FDI checklist - practical implications and tips for deal and dealmakers.
