Prior to joining the firm, Christopher was an associate at a local Washington, D.C. firm. Christopher focused his practice on project development, financing and acquisition, with an emphasis on electric-generating facilities. He represented clients in the energy industry on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions including tax equity finance transactions and acquisitions and dispositions involving projects under development, construction, or in operation. Christopher also drafted and reviewed various transaction documents including purchase agreements, contribution agreements, shareholder agreements, limited liability company agreements, loan agreements, security documents, and project documents (including engineering, procurement and construction contracts and power purchase agreements); coordinating closing matters; and due diligence.
Christopher has focused primarily on the development, financing, and acquisition of electric-generating facilities employing both conventional and renewable technologies in the United States and Asia. Christopher is familiar with a variety of financing and transaction structures, including partnership-flip, pay-as-you-go tax equity transactions, purchase and sale agreements, and traditional project financing.
