Prior to joining the firm, David served as an associate for a Florida law firm where he focused on state and federal filings for private securities offerings and exchanges, operating agreements, SEC filings, and purchase and sale agreements. David also provided research for niche case law in complex commercial cases.
During law school, David served as Executive Editor on the International and Comparative Law Review and as a student intern for the Investor Rights Clinic, representing clients in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration proceedings. He also earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Transactional Drafting and Practice.
Outside of the classroom, David was a judicial extern for the Honorable Jose E. Martinez at the United States District Court of the Southern District of Florida. He also served two years as Director of Breakfast with the Bench, a networking event between law students and state and federal judges.
Prior to law school, David graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Finance and worked for several years as a financial adviser, working directly with clients to create and develop their financial goals. His passion for investing and philanthropy led to his serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for a not-for-profit charter school. David served as the President of the University of Florida’s Chi Phi Fraternity and was one of the first graduates of the business school’s innovative Leadership Development Program.
David’s interests include capital markets and decentralized finance, blockchain-based entities, and the application of blockchain technologies. He has authored articles focused on proposed regulation and DAOs.
