This webinar discusses mutual fund to ETF conversions in light of the SEC's exemptive relief for dual share classes. While it appears more dual share classes are starting to come to market, the pace of mutual fund to ETF conversions continues to increase, providing asset managers multiple alternative pathways to launching ETFs.

The webinar will include a discussion of:

  • Market trends with respect to conversions and commercial and practical considerations for asset managers determining whether to propose an ETF clone, ETF share class, or mutual fund to ETF conversion;
  • Board and regulatory considerations for evaluating management's recommendations; and
  • Practical considerations, challenges, and solutions for funds undergoing a conversion, including proxy solicitation, shareholder communications, and orphaned accounts.
