Prior to joining the firm Joan was a senior manager within physician coding compliance for an American company that provides health care services. Through this role, Joan served as an internal auditor for hospital-owned physician practices, where she provided coding and documentation audits, analysis, and education to both physicians and practice billing staff. Joan was also a subject matter expert regarding provider-based billing and regulatory compliance and rural health clinics (RHC) billing rules.
