K&L Gates Advises WGA Group Holdings on Sale to AtkinsRéalis

Global law firm K&L Gates advised WGA Group Holdings Pty Ltd, an Australian and New Zealand engineering and project management consultancy, on its sale to AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. (TSX: ATRL). AtkinsRéalis is a global engineering services company headquartered in Montréal, Canada, with operations around the world. 
 
The transaction completed in September 2026 and involved the acquisition of Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA) by AtkinsRéalis. The sale was structured as a scheme of arrangement under the Corporations Act. Through the transaction, WGA became part of AtkinsRéalis, expanding the Canadian engineering company's presence across Australia and New Zealand. 
 
The K&L Gates team was led by Perth partner Luke Paterson and included support from Perth partner Adam Levine, Sydney partner Tim Webster, Perth senior associate Ben Kiernan-Green, Sydney senior associate Karin Lee, and Perth lawyer Nathan Bodlovich.
