K&L Gates Strengthens International Trade Practice With Washington, DC Hire

Washington, DC – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes international trade and national security lawyer Jeremy Huffman as a partner in its Washington, DC office. He joins the firm's International Trade, Investment Controls, and National Security practice from Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Huffman advises aerospace, defense, technology, and space-sector clients on export controls, sanctions, trade enforcement, regulatory investigations, and compliance matters. He has extensive experience counseling clients on compliance with US export and import laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and matters involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

He has also advised clients on developing export license strategies, conducting internal investigations, preparing voluntary disclosures, implementing integrated compliance programs, negotiating and administering consent agreements, supporting international business operations, and conducting due diligence associated with mergers and acquisitions involving export control and sanctions considerations.
