Katherine L. Rippey

Katherine Rippey is an associate in the firm’s Nashville office. Katherine provides health care regulatory counsel as it relates to compliance, operational, and transactional matters. She has worked with a wide range of health care clients, including health systems, hospitals, academic medical centers, behavioral health care providers, pharmacies, and private equity firms. 

She focuses her practice on federal and state fraud and abuse matters, operational and compliance inquiries related to Medicare/Medicaid certification and reimbursement, contracting, and other issues concerning day-to-day operations. Additionally, Katherine regularly assists in all stages of transactions between health care providers by conducting due diligence, engaging in legal compliance reviews, and assisting with licensure and entity integration.

Prior to joining the firm, Katherine served as an associate at a U.S. law firm where she assisted health care organizations with regulatory compliance and operational matters, particularly within the context of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. During law school, Katherine served as a judicial intern for Hon. Max O. Cogburn, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
