After graduating from Wake Forest University, Kenya worked for two years as an English teacher in Malaga, Spain. Prior to going to law school, Kenya received a Master’s degree in Sports Industry Management, and worked in sponsorship for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, the NHL’s Washington Capitals, and the WNBA’s Washington Mystics.
While in law school, Kenya became the first African American person to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Wake Forest Law Review.
In addition, Kenya was a summer associate at K&L Gates in 2018 and 2019.
