Kristene R. Siena

Kristene Siena is a paralegal in the firm’s Corporate practice group. She focuses her practice on corporate and regulatory matters and assists with issues relating to mergers and acquisitions, establishment of entities, employment and immigration, and legislative drafting.

Kristene has assisted on a number of mergers and acquisitions matters, particularly in relation to conducting legal diligence, and has been involved in setting up data rooms, drafting due diligence reports, legal opinions and prospectuses, and organizing the executions of closing documents.

On the regulatory side, Kristene has been involved in a number of benchmarking exercises and reviews of laws and has provided support in drafting amendments to legislations. 

Kristene has worked in the Middle East since 2007 and has assisted on some of the landmark transactions in Qatar. She has experience in legal matters relating to English, Qatar, and Qatar Financial Centre laws.

Prior to progressing to the paralegal role, Kristene was a practice specialist with the firm and extensively involved in client onboarding and matter management, advising fee-earners on administrative systems, policies and procedures, and conducting various legal research. 

Prior to joining the firm, Kristene was a legal PA in a Silver Circle firm where she supported fee-earners in the corporate and dispute resolution and litigation practices. Being primarily based in Doha, she was also assigned to the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices of the firm. 

From 2004 until 2009, Kristene worked in a top-tier local firm where she assisted the principal and his team on high-profile, complex capital markets, project finance, and regulatory transactions involving Qatari law aspects. Kristene was found to be “intelligent, hardworking and organised and well able to cope with the demands of legal transactional work as well as the normal administrative functions.” 

  • Kristene is a litigation practitioner accredited by the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre.
