Latina Equal Pay Day: How Do We Close the Pay Gap?, Hosted by Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia, K&L Gates DC Diversity Committee, and The Bar Association of the District of Columbia Civil & Human Rights Committee

Date: 1 December 2022
Time: 6:30 PM ET
Location: K&L Gates Washington D.C. Office, 1601 K St NW #1, Washington, D.C. 20006

On December 1st, the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (HBA-DC), the K&L Gates DC Diversity Committee, and The Bar Association of the District of Columbia Civil & Human Rights Committee invite you to attend a panel discussion highlighting Latina Equal Pay Day, including pay equity best practices and compliance guidance for organizations.

The COVID-19 pandemic further widened the pay gap between Latinas and their peers. This year, Latina Equal Pay Day will take place on 8 December, marking the 11 extra months Latinas must work to make the average yearly earnings of White, non-Hispanic men, with a pay gap approaching 50%.

Join us for this powerful discussion on proactive steps that organization can take to begin to close the Latina pay gap. The discussion will include how organizations can conduct pay equity self-audits as part of their DEIA programs, and best practices for how to avoid pay disparities developing.

The panel discussion will start and close with a reception hosted by K&L Gates.

CLE Credit is available for Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, California, and Illinois. For other Jurisdictions, CLE applications will be submitted upon request.
