Nicole D. Doherty

Nicole Doherty is an associate and a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice. Prior to joining the firm, Nicole served as a law clerk for the Office of the General Counsel at a Boston-based university, where she assisted in-house lawyers on a range of litigation and transactional assignments, including motion-drafting, contract review, and the review and updating of university policies. Before becoming an associate at the firm, she worked as a summer associate. During this time, she conducted a range of assignments for the Asset Management and Investment Funds, Corporate, and Litigation practices.

Nicole previously was a Student Advocate and Teaching Assistant at a Boston-based university, where she worked with a nonprofit client to draft financial policies and procedures and held weekly review sessions for students obtaining LLMs in American law. She also worked as a legal intern for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office in the Elder and Disabled Persons Protection Unit, where she conducted legal research, drafted motions and memoranda, and analyzed evidence. Additional prior roles include Investigator for the Medicaid Fraud Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and Policy and Research Assistant for a citywide network of summer and after-school programs.
