Sam F. Breeze

Sam Breeze is a partner in the firm's IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Sam completely focuses his practice on design protection and has created global design strategies for multiple Fortune 500 companies. He has experience protecting the ornamental aspects of electronic devices (e.g., smart devices, camera devices, speakers), sports equipment, graphical user interfaces, automotive designs, apparel, and footwear. In addition, Sam has experience protecting designs outside the United States, including knowledge of the requirements involving The Hague Agreement. He also has patent experience with life science technologies including medical equipment and other biomechanical inventions.

Prior to joining the firm, Sam served as a partner and leader of the design practice group at a national law firm where he advised some of the world's leading innovators on how to protect their brands by securing intellectual property on the ornamental aspects of their inventions. Over the last 10 years, Sam has assisted in helping clients obtain over 10,000 US design patents and foreign design registrations.

Sam’s design focused approach helps him identify key opportunities for clients to bridge potential gaps in their IP portfolios. He prides himself on providing concise, practical solutions for clients to globally protect the design aspects of their inventions.
