Stephen J. Patrick

Stephen Patrick represents clients across a broad spectrum of industries on corporate matters. Stephen’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture financing, and general corporate governance matters. Stephen manages complex transactions from inception to closing, taking ownership in each stage and aspect of the process. Representative clients operate in industries including private equity, technology, life sciences, agriculture, and health care. Stephen takes pride in precise legal analysis and being accessible and responsive.

Stephen is a member of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions practice, which has been recognized with numerous awards including being named the 2024 and 2022 Corporate Law Firm of the Year and ranked as National Tier 1 since 2010 in the U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” report. In addition to the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, Stephen is a member of the Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice group.

Prior to joining the firm, Stephen was an associate at a global law firm in New York focusing on private equity transactions. In law school, he was an Online Content Editor for the Columbia Business Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.   

Prior to joining the firm, Stephen was a corporate associate at a global law firm in New York. In law school, Stephen worked on tenants rights with the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation and was a research assistant through the Isaac and Jacqueline Weiss Shapiro Fellowship in Japanese Law. Prior to law school, Stephen worked in the technology industry.
