Thibaut Gribelin is an insurance recovery lawyer whose practice focuses on managing and defending claims on behalf of policyholders. He has developed a strong experience in claim management and optimization of communications with insurers until coverage is granted. From the outset of a loss, he assists his clients with insurance policy analysis, team coordination, appointment of technical experts or loss adjusters, and negotiations on coverage.
As insurance recovery litigator, Thibaut assists policyholders under a broad range of insurance policies such as fraud, cyber risks, product recall/liability, property damage, business interruption, and professional liability. More recently, he has started acting on behalf of crypto-assets holders claiming coverage against insurers covering blockchain related risks.
During the course of his career, he has built a strong understanding in the banking industry and is representing banks, financial institutions, and traders seeking coverage under banker’s blanket bond, political risks, and marine policies.
In his pro bono practice, Thibaut is representing victims of medical negligence.
Thibaut has been trained as both an insolvency practitioner and insurance lawyer. He has been practicing as a litigator for more than ten years now before the courts of Paris and France.
Before being admitted to the Paris bar in 2014, he gave lectures on property law at University Lyon III.
