Veterans Employment, Disability Inclusion, and Neurodiversity at Work Programs
In honor of Veterans Day observances, partner Craig Leen presents an in-depth overview of best practices relating to the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Section 503 compliance for employers. Drawing on Craig's experience developing compliance-related guidance and best practices as the former OFCCP Director, this program focuses on ways employers can establish inclusive governance principles at the board and executive level, including:
- Developing veterans- and disability-focused Employee Resource Groups,
- Engaging in goal-setting towards eliminating the underemployment of veterans and addressing the intersection of VEVRAA and Section 503, through a focus on increased employment of disabled veterans,
- Creating initiatives to increase employment of military spouses; and
- Implementing neurodiversity and autism at work programs.
