Guiping Lu is a partner in the Capital Markets practice group. His experience is primarily focused on international debt capital markets and other corporate finance transactions. Guiping has advised investment banks and issuers in connection with various types of debt capital markets transactions, including offerings of high yield and investment-grade bonds with different credit enhancement structures (letter of support, keepwell deed, equity interest purchase undertaking, liquidity support, and standby letter of credit), convertible and exchangeable bonds, medium term notes, and various types of liability management transactions (consent solitation, repurchases, and exchange offers). Issuers he has represented include both state-owned companies (including PRC local government finance vehicles) and privately held companies in different industries. Guiping additionally represents investment banks and issuers in registered and unregistered offerings, including US IPOs and follow-on offerings, Hong Kong IPOs with and without the Rule 144A tranche, and various types of private placement transactions.
