Joby C. Celoza

Joby Celoza is an associate in the firm's Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. His labor and employment practice includes litigation, transactional, and advice and counseling experience. Joby has assisted in single-plaintiff litigation disputes representing employers. Joby has substantive experience conducting initial investigations and drafting legal pleadings, as well as a variety of dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel arbitration, and oppositions to class certification.

Joby’s additional areas of experience include California and Washington consumer class action defense, antitrust, enforcement prosecution, and commercial and consumer arbitrations.

Joby maintains an active pro bono practice, including LGBTQ+ asylum representation and prisoner rights litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Joby worked as an associate at a national law firm. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark E. Recktenwald, Chief Justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court, and to the Honorable Gloria M. Navarro, District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
