Natalie Reid is an associate in the Environment, Land, and Natural Resources practice group. Natalie's practice focuses on environmental litigation and compliance pertaining to a broad range of environmental statutes, with a particular focus on the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA); Comprehensive, Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA); Clean Air Act (CAA); Clean Water Act (CWA); National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
Natalie also practices in the area of eminent domain, providing strategic counsel and litigation support to both public and private clients regarding condemnation matters. She has broad experience in both litigating eminent domain actions and in negotiating with public entities to reach amicable agreements for public acquisitions. She also provides strategic advice to public agencies on the exercise of eminent domain with respect to specific projects.
Natalie has significant experience in assisting both public and private hydropower operators in matters related to administration of hydropower licenses issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Her practice includes providing advice regarding relicensing, license amendments, compliance with the Endangered Species Act, and negotiated agreements with hydropower stakeholders. Her practice also extends to representing clients in litigation relating to hydropower operations and in responding to requests from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Natalie also advises individual and municipal clients on the administration and exercise of water rights. Natalie’s water rights practice includes providing strategic advice to water rights holders regarding preserving or transferring water rights, transactional due diligence, and representation of water rights holders in administrative actions.
