Tae Chung

Tae Chung is an associate in the firm’s IP Technology Transactions group, supporting innovative technology companies on complex commercial agreements that raise intellectual property and artificial intelligence considerations. He regularly assists with structuring and negotiating commercial arrangements, including procurement and sourcing agreements for data center infrastructure, as well as IP licensing agreements. Tae also supports M&A matters by assisting with IP and AI due diligence, helping deal teams identify IP ownership structures, AI licensing restrictions, and transaction-related risks across technology portfolios and product offerings. Fluent in Korean and Japanese, Tae has experience supporting cross-border matters and advising foreign clients on US-centered technology transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, Tae practiced patent prosecution in a multinational law firm, managing user interface and AI-related patent portfolios for one of the largest technology companies and coordinating with local counsel to support prosecution strategies in multiple foreign jurisdictions. During law school, Tae completed IP- and patent-focused internships in both Korea and Japan, strengthening his ability to work effectively across languages, business cultures, and legal systems on cross-border IP matters.
