Burak Eryigit

Burak Eryigit is a dual qualified (civil and common law) commercial lawyer and arbitration specialist. Working across the London and Middle Eastern offices, he focuses his practice on international arbitration, dispute resolution, energy, construction and infrastructure projects, as well as working with clients on front-end commercial and contractual issues.

Burak has extensive experience in commercial, construction, investor-state and gas price review arbitrations. He has acted for clients in many institutional and ad hoc arbitrations seated in numerous jurisdictions (including the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and South America) and subject to various governing laws.
He has been hailed as a creative lawyer with commercial awareness and a diverse professional background—combining excellent legal skills with outstanding project management and negotiation skills, a client-focused approach, and outside-the-box thinking.

Burak adopts a client-focused approach—developing his knowledge and skills to support the clients’ business objectives including in relation to bridge, railway, renewable energy, nuclear power plant, combined-cycle power plant, hydro-electric power plant, gas exploration and production and transit pipeline projects. His experience includes advising on first-of-their-kind groundbreaking projects in jurisdictions where the legal and regulatory framework has not yet fully developed, drawing upon his broad experience to guide clients on possible scenarios they could encounter, anticipating controversial legal issues and identifying gaps in the law.

As an international arbitration specialist, Burak has been recognized as a Future Leader for Arbitration by Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal): Arbitration 2025 and Who’s Who Legal (WWL) 2024, as a Recommended Lawyer for International Arbitration by the Legal 500 United Kingdom 2025, and as a Recommended Lawyer for Dispute Resolution by The Legal 500 EMEA 2024.

Burak qualified as a lawyer in 2013 and worked for a highly respected law firm in Turkey handling dispute resolution, litigation and international arbitration matters, as well as energy and infrastructure projects. Following his completion of an LL.M. in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution in 2016, he worked in London and Doha and currently splits his time between London and the Middle East.
