Jacob T. Towles

Jacob Towles is an associate in the firm’s Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Restructuring and Insolvency, and Health Care and FDA practice groups. His primary focus is on mergers and acquisitions within the health care sector.

Prior to joining the firm, Jacob served as a corporate counsel extern for a national health care, medical-surgical, and pharmaceutical distribution company. Through this role, Jacob examined various company contracts and identified provisional obligations. He also conducted extensive research on the Anti-Kickback Statute and analyzed various rebates within agreements. Jacob previously served as a summer associate at the firm, where he performed due diligence regarding mergers, amended contracts, licensure agreements, and drafted notices of termination. 

Jacob was formerly an intergovernmental affairs legal intern for the Office of the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). During this time, he analyzed pending state litigation and legislation for potential impact on FDA regulations and operations. Jacob also executed thorough legal research and drafted memoranda on a variety of complex legislative topics.
