Jamie M. Thompson

Jamie Thompson is an associate in the firm's Nashville office. He is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate, and Health Care and FDA practice groups.

His practice focuses on a variety of complex business transactions and corporate matters. He assists clients ranging from private companies, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and their portfolio companies on middle market mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, early-stage equity financing, corporate restructuring, and general corporate matters across various industries. His experience includes advising clients on entity formation and corporate governance matters, preparing governing documents, coordinating due diligence, and drafting an array of transaction documents.

Prior to joining the firm, Jamie served as an associate at a regional law firm where he provided advice and counseling to employers on various labor and employment law matters, such as the Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Jamie also assisted in representing employers in litigation regarding matters involving breach of noncompetition agreements, discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. Jamie has handled civil litigation cases, including insurance defense, education, and personal injury.
