K&L Gates Advises Greenland-Focused Mining Company Amaroq Minerals on £45 Million Capital Raise

31 July 2025

Global law firm K&L Gates has advised Amaroq Minerals (AIM, TSX-V, NASDAQ Iceland: AMRQ), an independent mine development corporation focused on unlocking Greenland’s mineral potential, on its £45 million capital raise through the subscription and placement of approximately 53 million shares to investors across the United Kingdom, United States, and Iceland.

The fresh capital will be used to support the ongoing commissioning and production expansion at Nalunaq, a gold mine in South Greenland, as well as complete technical studies in relation to this production expansion. It will also be used to create a new hub in West Greenland and accelerate and deepen exploration drilling and support the preparation of related technical studies.

The Corporate deal team was led by London partner James Green, with support from senior associate Robert Boughey, associate Madeleine Williams, and trainee Charles Lush. Partner Sean Jones advised on US legal issues, with support from associate Jeffrey Pititto.

Green stated: "We are proud to have supported Amaroq Minerals in its recent fundraising, which reflects growing investor confidence in the company’s strategic mineral development initiatives in Greenland. This capital raise also aligns with broader market trends, as both individual and institutional investors are increasingly backing projects that advance resource security and sustainable development goals."

K&L Gates’ Corporate practice is one of the most substantial in the legal industry, with hundreds of lawyers in offices on five continents, providing clients with practical legal solutions in the structuring, financing, and completion of domestic, international, and cross-border transactions.
