K&L Gates Advises MediaTek on US$3.9 Billion Convertible Bond Offering

Global law firm K&L Gates advised MediaTek Inc., a Taiwan-based semiconductor company, on its US$3.9 billion convertible bond offering, including a US$3.5 billion investment by NVIDIA. The convertible bonds are listed on the Singapore Exchange for trading. The transaction is reported to be the largest convertible bond offering in Taiwan's history.  The offering also attracted participation from Alphabet, Google's parent company, and other international institutional investors.   
  
The K&L Gates team was led by Taipei managing partner Jacqueline Fu and partner Billy Chen. Taipei partner Joseph Tseng, counsel Albert Wang, and associate Lillian Chen assisted on the matter.
