K&L Gates Advises Microsoft on Continued Investment in ChatGPT Creator OpenAI
Seattle - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP recently advised Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) on its further investment in San Francisco-based OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory behind the experimental online chatbot ChatGPT. Microsoft’s long-term partnership with OpenAI through this multiyear, multibillion dollar investment extends its ongoing collaboration across AI supercomputing and research and helps accelerate AI breakthroughs to ensure these benefits are broadly shared with the world. K&L Gates also assisted Microsoft on its initial US $1 billion equity investment in OpenAI in 2019 and later investment in 2021.
