K&L Gates Receives M&A Advisor Information Technology Deal of the Year Award
Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has been recognized by M&A Advisor for its role in the Section 363 sale of assets of Akoustis Technologies, which received Information Technology Deal of the Year ($100MM to $500MM) honors at the organization’s annual Turnaround Awards.
The nominations, representing more than 100 participating companies, were judged by an independent panel of industry experts, with the awards presented in March.
Raleigh partner Margaret Westbrook, a Restructuring and Insolvency practice group coordinator, Miami partner Jeff Kucera, Boston partner John Cotter, Raleigh partner Andrew Reibman, and Charlotte partners Coleman Wombwell and Sean Jones, a Capital Markets practice group coordinator, led the team that advised Akoustis in the deal.
Now in its 20th year, M&A Advisor has been recognizing achievement, providing thought leadership, and connecting the elite professionals in turnarounds, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions both domestically in the United States and internationally.
