Lauren Hamma is a government affairs analyst and a member of the firm's Public Policy and Law practice group. She focuses on advising clients at the intersection of federal policymaking, regulatory developments, and legislative strategy, with particular emphasis on financial services, ESG and sustainability policy, and tax-exempt organizations.
Lauren regularly assists a diverse set of clients, including institutional investors, financial institutions, philanthropic entities, trade associations, community lenders, and more. Her work spans a range of financial services issues, including sustainability-related disclosures and regulatory frameworks, regulation of banks and financial institutions, pensions and retirement policy, digital assets, and capital markets regulation. In addition to her financial services focus, Lauren advises tax-exempt organizations on federal policy developments affecting nonprofit governance, charitable giving, and tax policy. She supports clients in monitoring legislative and regulatory activity, analyzing the implications of policy proposals, and developing and implementing advocacy strategies to advance clients’ interests before Congress, federal agencies, and key stakeholders.
Lauren also serves as Co-Chair of the Washington, DC, office Women in the Profession (WP) Committee, supporting initiatives that promote professional development, mentorship, and advancement of women within the firm.
