Lisa Lautier

Lisa is a partner in the asset management and investment funds (AMIF) group in Sydney. She advises Australian and international clients on a broad range of matters including fund establishment, financial services law, structuring and the provision of financial products and services to wholesale and retail clients.

Lisa has worked on a number of regulatory and transactional matters, involving:

  • Funds: structuring and establishing wholesale and retail funds across a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, property trusts and feeder funds;
  • MIS: providing advice across the life cycle of managed investment schemes in relation to promotion, disclosure, trust deeds, investment management agreements, unitholder meetings, change of trustee or RE, stapling, custody and other outsourcing arrangements; and
  • Regulatory: providing advice in relation to the Corporations Act, trust law, the Australian financial services licensing regime, ASIC relief and breach reporting.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Lisa was a partner in the corporate and commercial team at one of the largest legal partnerships in Australia. During her career, she has completed various secondments with well-recognised asset managers in Australia. She also spent three years in London where she worked for a listed Australian fund manager advising on various acquisitions, divestments and regulatory matters.
