Edoardo Crosetto is an associate in the Brussels office and a member of the firm’s Policy and Regulatory practice area. He advises international companies, trade associations, and other organisations on EU regulatory affairs, public policy, international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI) screening, and sustainability legislation.
Edoardo assists clients in navigating complex EU and cross-border regulatory requirements and translating them into practical compliance strategies. His experience includes advising on EU sustainability and product-regulation frameworks, including the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. He has also advised on lobbying, electoral law and other disclosure requirements across the EU and selected Member States, and has led client roundtables on the practical application of new EU product-regulation requirements.
Edoardo has also experience coordinating multi-jurisdictional regulatory assessments and market-entry projects across the EU and other jurisdictions. His work includes FDI-screening analyses in the context of international transactions, trade-remedy proceedings before the European Commission, product-compliance projects, licensing requirements, and regulatory implementation strategies.
Edoardo also provides pro bono legal assistance to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in connection with the development of its Global Policy Platform on child sexual exploitation laws. In that context, he conducted comprehensive legal research and analysis of EU legislative frameworks, including the Directive on Combating the Sexual Abuse and Sexual Exploitation of Children, the Anti-Trafficking Directive, DSA, GDPR, and pending CSAM Regulation.
His practice spans a range of sectors, including fashion and luxury goods, consumer products, technology, digital services, financial services, construction products, chemicals, and manufacturing.
