Eric F. Vicente Flores

Eric is an associate in the firm’s Technology Transactions and Sourcing and Data Protection, Privacy, and Security practice groups.

Eric is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in the United States (CIPP/US) and primarily focuses on privacy issues such as data governance and compliance. He also supports diligence teams in buy-side and sell-side transactions across a variety of industries, including healthcare, media, and consumer products. Eric’s data privacy experience includes counseling clients on the use of personal information for advertising and marketing purposes, advising on tracking technologies, and conducting trainings for internal marketing and product teams.

Eric advises clients on a broad range of technology and data-driven transactions, with experience drafting and negotiating software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements, software and technology license agreements, professional services agreements, and related commercial technology arrangements. His work frequently involves advising both technology providers and customers on intellectual property ownership and licensing, data use rights, security obligations, and allocation of risk in complex technology transactions.

In addition, Eric advises companies on the design and implementation of sweepstakes and contests, drafting official rules and counseling on compliance with applicable federal and state laws to support nationwide promotions.

Eric attended Seattle University School of Law where he served as the Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, founding member of the Privacy Law Student Association, Secretary of the Latino Law Student Association and was an Associate Editor of the Law Review Journal. Eric competed in various negotiation competitions and represented Seattle University in the National Negotiation Competition in 2021. 

Eric was the recipient of the 2021 Seattle University School of Law Dean's Medal Award, is board member of the Hispanic National Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and is an alumni of the Hispanic National Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law Institute.
