Eric Vicente Flores is an associate in the firm's Technology Transactions and Sourcing and Data Protection, Privacy, and Security practice groups. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and his work focuses on the intersection of technology, commercial transactions, privacy, and cybersecurity. He advises clients on complex regulatory, compliance, and risk-management issues involving personal data, information security, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies, and counsels companies on developing and implementing practical privacy and cybersecurity compliance programs.
Eric also maintains an active technology transactions practice, drafting and negotiating SaaS, software licensing, technology services, data processing, and other complex commercial agreements. His work includes advising technology companies and their customers on issues involving intellectual property, data rights, information security, service levels, indemnification, limitations of liability, and other technology-related risk allocation. He also advises on privacy and cybersecurity issues arising in corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence and assessing regulatory, data governance, and information-security risks.
In addition, Eric advises companies on the design and implementation of sweepstakes and contests, drafting official rules and counseling on compliance with applicable federal and state laws to support nationwide promotions.
