Yanet Cordero is an associate and a member of the Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice group. Yanet represents high-growth technology companies, venture capital investors, family offices, and strategic investors across all stages of growth, from corporate formation and seed-stage financings through later-stage venture rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and liquidity events. She advises founders, growth-stage companies, venture funds, family offices, and other sophisticated investors on preferred equity financings, SAFEs, convertible notes, secondary transactions, equity compensation, cross-border restructurings, and ongoing corporate governance and general counsel matters. She has experience in a broad range of industries, including life sciences, technology, financial services, fintech, and digital assets and cryptocurrencies companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Yanet was a senior corporate associate at an international law firm headquartered in San Francisco, where she developed a Silicon Valley–style practice representing both emerging companies and leading venture capital funds. She brings a practical, commercially oriented approach to complex transactions, helping clients structure efficient financings, navigate cross-border deals with precision, and position their businesses for institutional investment and long-term growth.
Yanet has significant experience advising on international "flip" transactions, including Australian-to-US and Cayman Islands-to-US holding company restructurings, and counsels Latin American founders and investor groups entering the US venture capital ecosystem. She collaborates closely with international co-counsel to address the tax, regulatory, and structural considerations inherent in cross-border growth transactions. Yanet is also actively engaged in the broader innovation and entrepreneurship community, working with founders and investors at all stages of company development.
