Elle Stuart is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she is a member of the public policy and law practice group. Elle focuses her practice on a wide range of federal regulatory, policy, and legislative matters dealing with transportation and infrastructure issues. She has a special interest in the maritime sector, representing clients in a number of maritime spaces, including cargo vessel operators, a ship classification society, and a coalition of domestic maritime interests.
Prior to joining the firm, Elle was an extern in the Environmental Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice. She also interned with the Coast Guard’s Office of the Judge Advocate General in the Civil Litigation department. Elle graduated from the Duke University School of Law in 2017 and joined the firm shortly after that.
Elle is currently a member of the Propeller Club of the Port of Washington D.C. and WISTA USA (Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association).
