K&L Gates Advises Gorilla Technology Group Inc. on Proposed Merger with Global SPAC Partners Co.
New York – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has advised Gorilla Technology Group Inc., a global provider of edge video analytic AI technology, on its proposed merger with blank check company Global SPAC Partners Co., through which Gorilla will become a publicly traded company.
The K&L Gates team that advised Gorilla was led by New York partner Robert Matlin and Taipei partner James Chen, and included New York partners Jonathan Barron and Adam Tejeda, Nashville partner David Bartz, and Taipei partner Billy Chen.

Gorilla, headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, is a global leader in video intelligence, cybersecurity intelligence, business intelligence, and AIoT technology. In addition, Gorilla provides a complete Security Convergence Platform to government institutions, telecom companies, and private enterprises with network surveillance and cybersecurity.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of Q1 2022, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. The combined company will retain the name of Gorilla Technology Group Inc. and expects to be listed on Nasdaq under the anticipated ticker symbol “GRRR.”
