K&L Gates Advises LEEU Collection on Redevelopment of Collegio alla Querce in Florence

Global law firm K&L Gates assisted LEEU Collection, a hospitality portfolio controlled by Indian tycoon Analjit Singh, in negotiating all contractual arrangements with financial investors and institutional investors to redevelop Florence’s Collegio alla Querce into a luxury hotel.

Originally built in the 16th century, Collegio alla Querce was once a cherished educational institution, welcoming Italy’s brightest scholars. Today, this iconic landmark has reopened as an 83 room, 5-star luxury Auberge Resorts Collection hotel, boasting pristine gardens and sweeping views of the city’s UNESCO-celebrated Centro Storico and Tuscany’s rolling hills.

The Corporate deal team was led by Milan partner Arturo Meglio, with support from senior associate Luca Nardello and associate Gaia Bacchi. Partner Vittorio Salvadori di Wiesenhoff provided tax advice and counsel Francesco Seri advised on finance-related issues.
