K&L Gates Advises Stratos on Acquisition of Magi Aviation Capital
Tokyo - K&L Gates recently advised leading independent aircraft investment specialist Stratos in acquiring Magi Aviation Capital, a fellow aircraft finance and asset management company. The deal received regulatory approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and takes Stratos’ managed portfolio to more than 60 aircraft worth $3 billion with annual rental receipts in excess of $300 million.
The K&L Gates team was led by London partners Tom Wallace and Philip Morgan with assistance from Tokyo partner Sebastian Smith.
