Sarah Pearce is a partner in the firm’s Technology Transactions and Sourcing practic group. Her experience covers a broad range of data privacy and security issues. She focuses her practice on advising global clients on data strategies and compliance programs, including international data transfers, marketing-related issues, and risk management associated with the collection and use of data, as well as cybersecurity matters.
Her experience also includes counseling multinational clients regarding artificial intelligence (AI) governance issues, including developing standard contract terms and AI policies to support compliance with the EU AI Act and other AI laws, frameworks, and standards emerging globally. Additionally, she has advised on cross-border cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, and investigations involving the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Sarah has also advised clients on the use of cookies and other tracking technologies, as well as data transfer strategies and mechanisms to legitimize international data flows, including Binding Corporate Rules, Standard Contractual Clauses, and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
