Jason Kirk is a member of the firm's Asset Management and Investment Funds practice group. His practice focuses on forming and operating US and offshore private funds, including private credit, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge funds, and representing institutional investors in connection with alternative investments. Jason counsels investment managers on a broad range of matters that includes the organization of investment advisers and general partners, securities regulation, and secondaries, co-investment, and other transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Jason was an associate at an international law firm. His practice focused on representing fund sponsors in connection with forming and operating private funds. Jason's background includes a depth of experience in finance and financial regulation that stems from externships with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Bankruptcy Court, and working as a bank examiner through the aftermath of the Great Recession. Jason is a CFA charterholder.
