K&L Gates Adds Labor and Employment Litigator in Raleigh
Raleigh – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Brodie D. Erwin as a partner in its Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. Erwin joins the firm’s Raleigh office from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP.
Erwin is a trusted advisor to employers of all sizes and across a wide range of industries. He maintains a nationwide practice counseling and representing clients on the full spectrum of employment laws and regulations. He is also an experienced litigator who represents employers in federal and state courts across the country in complex employment and business disputes.
A significant portion of Erwin’s practice is devoted to helping companies protect their most valuable information, preserve critical business relationships, lawfully recruit sought-after talent, and maintain their competitive edge. He regularly prosecutes and defends actions involving injunctive and equitable relief related to restrictive covenants, including non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, as well as trade secret misappropriation, tortious interference, unfair competition, and related claims.
Erwin also conducts sensitive internal investigations involving allegations of executive misconduct and advises boards of directors, chief compliance officers, and in-house legal teams on employment, compliance, and workplace culture issues. He works closely with employers to assess risk, develop practical strategies, and support compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
“Brodie brings broad labor and employment knowledge that aligns well with the evolving challenges facing employers across industries,” said Melissa Tea, lead practice area leader of K&L Gates’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. “His experience handling employment litigation, workplace investigations, restrictive covenant disputes, trade secret matters, and OSHA-related proceedings strengthens our ability to provide strategic counsel to clients on their most significant workforce and business issues.”
“Brodie is widely respected in the Raleigh legal and business communities and has developed a strong reputation as a trusted advisor to employers,” said David Lindsay, managing partner of the firm’s Raleigh office. “His addition reinforces our commitment to continued growth in North Carolina and enhances the services we provide to clients both locally and across the firm’s global platform.”
Erwin’s arrival is the latest in a series of strategic additions across the firm’s global platform and follows the arrivals of labor and employment litigator Carlos Jimenez in Los Angeles earlier this year.
