K&L Gates Recognized on Two Distressed M&A Deal of the Year Awards
K&L Gates has been recognized for its role on a pair of deals that received awards in the M&A Transaction Category of M&A Advisor’s annual Turnaround Awards, with the firm being honored for its representation of React Health in the purchase of Ventec Life Systems, Inc., in the Distressed M&A Deal of the Year ($25MM to $50MM) category and for its representation of the seller in the sale of Teligent in the Distressed M&A Deal of the Year ($50MM to $100MM) category.
The K&L Gates team that advised React Health was led by Austin partner Andrea Cunha and Dallas partners David Weitman and Josh Skora, while New York partner Whitney Smith led the K&L Gates team that advised Teligent.
The nominations, representing more than 100 participating companies, were judged by an independent panel of industry experts, with the awards presented in March.
